Chandra's Pics from the Trip

Jason's Pics from the Trip

And we're on our way...

Ah, the GPS. Chandra's favorite navigational device!

Start of the race. Can you see me in the crowd???

This looks VERY crowded. However, the people on the right are running in a different direction.

We did it! 13.1 miles in 2 hours 22 minutes! And we ended up in the upper 9k's... so we were haulin'!!! 10.46/mile was our average pace.

Man, I was sore...

Inside the Saucer.

This is all I wanted to do... just prop the feet up! My feet and knees were killing me.

This was a fun waitress we met downtown at Big River Brewhouse - great steaks!

Opryland Resort river...

Boat...

This is the waterfall.

This is where they have the weddings.

Sitting at The Stage drinking some beers and listening to good music. Hey, that sure is a big guitar back there...

And we decided to drink beers we'd never really order since we were at The Stage.

Jason showing his pearly whites...

At the Expo in the Nashville Convention Center.

At this point, we are about 21 thousand people back. The race started at Vanderbilt University.

Running back into the city.

Ok, this is Friday still. Walking around 2nd Street. Little did we know we "almost" got involved in a shooting. (Sunday night we walked past a crazy crowd of teens - 15 minutes later 4 people were shot)

REWARD! The Flying Saucer in Nashville!

First beer of the month... and of course, celebrating our accomplishment!

Watching the NFL draft...

I met Zaheed in September at a conference in Atlanta. He works for PRU in Dallas, and got his saucer on the wall (200 beers) in 1 year!

Walking to the Opryland Resort.

That gazebo bar turns. We would have gone there, but it was a bit hot.

At the Jack Daniels Saloon.

FOR ONCE... Jason was right on directions.

We ran across that bridge to end up at LP field...

Rippy's BBQ.

Apparently people think I hold the cue weird...

They were mad because I kept beating them at pool. Seriously... they sucked. :-)

Birmingham, AL. Waiting to leave for Nashville.

Jason, Paul, and Chandra. It's about 55 degrees.

Where we'll end up after the race - LP Field.

More runners.

We had to run around this thing...

Outside the Saucer.

1 minute later...

Chandra crackin' up...

You walk under a waterfall and you can take a picture threw this hole.

Jack

2 dorks.

... and Chandra was WRONG! SO... VERY... WRONG!!!

Ok, so the shooting was between the red building and the white building. We parked across from the red building.

Surprisingly, this was pretty good. I chose it because it was my favorite in high school (sorry Mom).

The Stage is a legendary bar where a lot of famous people have played.

I have no comment...

And you say I hold the cue strangely???
