Lori & Stacey & "Larry's."
Lori, "Bro," and Stacey waiting for our table.
And these weren't even the biggest we ate!
And so I left these... went to the bathroom... came back and Stacey had finished them for me! (There was no way I could eat any more...)
They will build a boat dock down there with stairs leading to it.
My favorite aunt! We had a blast spending time throughout the week. And can she COOK!!!
New bush I planted - Blue Plumbago. Supposed to bloom all summer.
My bur oak continues to grow... slowly.
Patio... my favorite spot in the house.
Lori didn't like the first one, so she wanted me to take another one. Wait... was I supposed to delete that???
What you are looking at is a table with 13 lbs. of boiled crawfish! Lori got 3, and Stacey and I ordered 5 lbs.
I just don't know what to say about this... :-)
Cousin Christie's daughter, Chloe. She's 3.
So this is my uncle Jerry's front yard. Can you see where I get some of my yard influence???
One of their neighbors.
This is my aunt Loretta, my dad's sister.
This is something called a cherry gaura or something like that. Anyway, gonna try it this year in the front.
The garden: 6 tomato plants, 7 pepper plants, and 2 egg plants.
These are trees called Cassius Splendora. Again, probably spelling it wrong. The leaves close up at night, and it's a very fast-growing tree. Will be about 12 feet in the fall and the leaves turn BRIGHT yellow.
My Chinese Pistache tree has really grown.
I look forward to this experience all year long...
Stacey is the master!
All done!
Uncle Jerry and my cousin Christie's son, Jayden. He's 2.
Lori & Stacey bought this land and plan to build a house on it next year.
Another neighbor. The house is still under construction.
It was a tad windy...
So when I came back, I had weeds higher than my knees! Worst yard on the block! I worked all weekend and here are the results.
Dang it... forgot what this is, but my uncle has it in his yard and it attracts hummingbirds. I put it in a pot so I can save it in the winter.
And the wart in my yard, the willow, is now mostly dead. It's coming down this year.
