All Things Knee...

These will be out of order... This is me lying in the amubulance.

"Congrats! Your knee is broken!"

The last picture before the race... er... accident.

Chandra finding out where they are taking me...

Laura consoling me...

Now I'm just mugging for the camera... and lovin' the Demerol!

I had obviously cut my hair off, too. Too dang hot!

The gears on the right are not in my leg. I was X-Rayed with the brace on. That bump at the top actually pushes out from my skin... looks like a knuckle.

David and Chandra

At the time, I thought I'd be running The Rock this year.

"Hey Dummy! Don't run tomorrow! Your life is about to REALLY change!!!"

Riverwalk in OKC

Our friends were taking pics of people running...

The new me...

Past those orange barriers are the white barriers I jumped over... and bit it big time!

"Look Ma... No Knee Cap..."

What is up with my hair???

Nice and swollen... oddly enough, it didn't hurt that much.

This is the next day in Dallas. From Sunday until Wednesday, I had 2 kneecaps. One in my thigh, the other a bit lower...

Two weeks after the surgery

Still stitched...

My new knee

Saturday before the race, we were heading to the expo. This is me imitating that old man puppet.

At a cool bar

They thought we were coming up. They had no idea I was lying on the ground about a 100 yards from them...

Back from X-Ray...

The Demerol is kicking in...

Can you see the crater that once was my knee?

I LUV ME SOME DRUGS...

After two hours of surgery and over an hour in the Recovery Room, they wheeled me back to my hospital room... this is what I looked like minutes after arriving.

Follow Up Doctor visit... two weeks later.

My left leg just kept getting smaller and smaller..

Looks a little more "repaired" than before...

Downtown Oklahoma City prior to the race.

OKC Marathon Expo

Good times

Why is this Italian restaurant next to a Pizza Hut???

Just before the race...

Day before the surgery, Chandra and I went to Target. Seriously... this thing is helpful and fun!
