We rented a boat for a day of fishing
We didn't know we had to drive through that... we went by it at first.

Not sure what that was...

We could pull up to the edge of these plants and the boat would just stay put - no anchor needed.

We noticed something in the water and had to investigate.
This is what we camped on... I'm standing on a fishing pier.

This is a really invasive plant that could kill Caddo Lake - it takes the oxygen out of the water.

That's NOT a beaver... it's called a Nutria. It's a "swamp rat."
It was a great camping trip... except as peaceful as this place was, it was loud at night due to the nearby train tracks.

This is towards the end of our day. We had driven a great portion of the lake... and caught ZILCH!
The tail is like a rat's tail...

This is Sunday and the look at our pond in the State Park.
